Welcome to Fourth Grade

Mrs. ChurchillGreetings and welcome to Room 13, marking the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic term! I'm looking forward to teaching a 3rd and 4th grade combination class. I am embarking on my 27th year as a dedicated member of the Springhill Elementary community. Over the years, I have had the privilege of instructing students across the second, third, fourth, and fifth grade levels. My husband, Randy, and I crossed paths during our time at Acalanes, and our journey together has spanned 29 wonderful years of marriage. Our two sons, Nathan and Ian, bring immense joy to our lives. The cohesive 4th grade team here at Springhill School is truly remarkable as is the 3rd grade team I am again a part of. Anticipation fills me as I eagerly await the unfolding of yet another splendid year ahead.

My name is Ann Finne and I’m excited to be teaching 4th grade next year! I’ve spent the last 4 years at a private school in Lafayette teaching 5th grade. I love literacy and sharing that joy with students. When I’m not teaching, I’m most likely traveling, exploring the outdoors, knitting, cooking or gardening. I’m excited to be joining the Springhill Scorpions this coming school year!

My name is Jenna Caldwell, and I am thrilled to join the Springhill community! This school holds aspecial place in my heart. My husband attended Springhill (then Stanley and Acalanes), and both my mother-in-lawand sisters-in-law taught here. Now it’s my turn tocontinue the family tradition!

For the past 10+ years, I’ve taught in Danville, working with 1st and 2nd grade students. Most recently, I’veserved asan Academic Support Teacher and Reading Specialist for grades K–8. In 2021, I earned my Master of Science in Reading and Literacy from CSU East Bay. I’m passionate about literacy and love supporting students as they grow into confident readers and learners.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a 3.5-year-old son and a 16-month-old daughter who keep me on my toes! On weekends, you’ll often find us at Brook Street Park or walking around the reservoir. My husband and I are proud University of Oregon alumni and love cheering on our Ducks, especially during football and basketball season!
