Exploring, Creating, and Leading
Fourth grade challenges students to become analytical thinkers, effective communicators, and collaborative problem-solvers. Students deepen their understanding through inquiry, discussion, and meaningful real-world connections.
Students focus on:
- Reading increasingly complex texts while analyzing themes, characters, and author's purpose
- Writing multi-paragraph narratives, informational reports, and opinion essays using research and evidence
- Mastering multi-digit multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, geometry, and mathematical reasoning
- Exploring Earth science and engineering through investigation and experimentation
- Strengthening research, presentation, and technology skills
- Developing organization, responsibility, leadership, and perseverance
Students leave fourth grade with increased independence and the confidence to take on new academic challenges.
